Our History

Our roots go back to the creation of the Ulster Leadership Development Initiative program in 1993 by the Ulster Regional Chamber of Commerce. Since then, the program has graduated over 450 local workers, who have benefited from direct exposure to dozens of successful entrepreneurs, leaders and officials. In 2014, the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce Foundation was created as a 501(c)3 organization with bigger aspirations; not only would we continue to offer and enhance the Leadership program, but we’d expand our offering to include youth leadership while fostering connections to employment and volunteer opportunities.
